This two-day course qualifies you to administer, interpret and provide feedback using the FIRO-B® instrument.
This programme has been designed for people with experience of providing feedback or coaching to individuals. It is suitable for:
- Learning and development consultants
- HR practitioners
- Coaches and counsellors
- Line managers or those with people-management responsibility
- People involved in the personal development of others
- Those experienced in using psychometrics
Content
This workshop uses a variety of learning methods and materials including interactive group work, presentations and real-life practice sessions. Each delegate will receive individual development feedback from experienced FIRO-B professionals.

- Introduction to the FIRO-B instrument
- FIRO-B administration and feedback to individuals and groups
- The theory of interpersonal behaviour
- Understanding and interpreting FIRO-B profiles
- Construction and development of the FIRO-B instrument
- The validity and reliability of the questionnaire
- Ethical use of the instrument
- Practical applications of the FIRO-B instrument in one-to-one settings
- Practice feedback sessions
- Introduction to a range of FIRO-B materials and reports
Prerequisites
You will be expected to complete the following in advance of the course:
- Complete the FIRO-B questionnaire online
- Work through the FIRO-B pre-reading and self-test questions
