The MBTI® ThinkBox issue
As I sat down to write this month's intro for OPPinions, I found myself exhausted by the idea of, yet again, writing about our survival, the economy, business redundancies and the like. So, there will be none of that in this issue. Instead, we'll be talking about energy, new opportunities and great ideas.
In fact, this is a special edition of OPPinions. It's the kick-off of a new MBTI® product that makes the MBTI instrument even more accessible to you and those who take the questionnaire. It's MBTI® ThinkBox. An online development tool offering hundreds of on-demand learning resources that put Type-insight into practice every day. You'll be seeing lots about MBTI ThinkBox as we move into 2010. It's all about informal learning, embracing the reality of limited learning budgets and empowering individuals as they drive their own development.
If your interest is piqued, don't miss the expert interview discussing the world of informal learning in this issue, and secure your place at the forthcoming free MBTI® ThinkBox webinars.
So, get started now and explore this new world of informal learning and MBTI® ThinkBox - the clever online tool that will help you enhance the value you gain from using the MBTI® instrument across your organisation, but not rob your budget!

Making HR's job easier...
...is always a welcome concept! The US-based magazine Human Resource Executive examined hundreds of submissions for its 'Top Products Award 2009' to find key products that are capable of delivering on their promises and making HR's job easier.
Despite only being launched in the US in June this year, MBTI ThinkBox scooped the Top Training Product Award - and here's what they said about it:

"Why We Like It: Within [MBTI] ThinkBox's sleek, iPod-esque dashboard, a tremendous amount of research is available on different personality types and what it takes to get each one to produce. The handy Snapshot feature allows user to get details about each personality, while a click on the "Working With" icon lets them scroll through various action statements in order to find the one best-suited for whatever they're trying to have their team (or team member) accomplish.
"Once they select their objective, [MBTI] ThinkBox will display a listing of targeted learning resources. We really like how the "My Development Plan" feature allows users to build on specific objectives by adding relevant activities and resources while also incorporating progress and feedback options.
"New features are specifically aimed at helping teams focus in on key issues and address those issues through insights and resources tied directly to each team members' Myers-Briggs® personality type."
