Gucci: building sustainable business practice with style

Gucci Group maintains nine world-famous brands which operate relatively discretely and in an autonomous manner. The organisation's central HR function came to OPP® seeking the means to identify and develop talent and create greater inter-brand mobility for talented individuals. The solution had to fit with Group HR's role in the organisation: guiding and supporting the brands without imposing itself unnecessarily on their business activities, identity or culture - what Gucci Group refers to as its 'DNA'.

Against this backdrop, Group HR commissioned OPP to work with the top 50 senior managers across the brands in Europe, the US and Asia. Initially, this took the form of a 360-degree feedback and coaching programme based on a bespoke competency framework. The aim was to help participants understand their strengths and how they might stretch themselves further, the mantra being "What got you here may not get you where you want to go."

16PF logombti logoThe 16PF® and MBTI® questionnaires - a perfect match

Choosing the right personality questionnaire to meet your needs can be difficult. One aspect of this is deciding whether to use one that is 'type'-based, such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) questionnaire, or one that is 'trait'-based, such as the 16PF® questionnaire. They both have their own specific benefits and features, and deliver different insights into human behaviour.

Often, one questionnaire may not provide all the information needed. Human beings are complex and unique creatures. To understand them, we benefit from combining a number of different but complementary approaches and models.

OPP Ireland programme offers

What do you get when you combine the versatility of the MBTI instrument with the FIRO-B instrument? The answer is a unique and comprehensive insight into individuals and teams.

The MBTI instrument provides powerful understanding of individual and others' personality styles. It represents the first step towards understanding the power of 'type' as a framework for application inside and outside the work place. Learn more about MBTI.

The FIRO-B instrument is particularly effective for exploring complex and challenging relationships, for example within senior teams, and helping leaders understand how to build trust. Learn more about FIRO-B.

Book a place on one of the upcoming OPP Ireland MBTI or FIRO-B Qualifying Programmes before 31 March and you will receive a 10% discount on the course fee. Book to attend both courses and we will increase that to a combined discount of 15% off - equivalent to an impressive saving of €675!
